Why It Rocks

1. Impressive graphics for the time it was released.
2. Good voice acting.
3. The cutscenes are explained from a book.
4. It follows the plot of the book (and movie) very well.
5. The way you conjure spells in the PC version are impressive.
6. The combat, puzzle-solving, and platforming are well done.
7. Amazing soundtrack, composed by Jeremy Soule.
8. Since games are longer than movies this game got stuff from the book that wasn't in the film, this includes Peeves.

Bad Qualities

1. The aiming of spells in the PC version is awkward.
2. In the PC version, the characters don't synchronize their voice clips with their lips.
3. Even if the graphics were impressive, the PS1 version aged poorly. Especially with the character models faces. Despite this, Hagrid and Hedwig became memes.
4. In the PlayStation version, there is an (understandable) lack of an autosave feature, so the player must find a 'Save Book' to save the game if they want to. The final section of the game, however (a very long and tedious section) hides these Save Books inside of secret passages only accessible by pressing an unprompted button while near the wall, leaving the player with no way to save unless they know about these.
5. Some of the minigames, like the chess one, require a lot of trial and error to pass.
